I grew up in Franklin, NC a small town in Smoky Mountains where I spent a lot of time playing in the woods and on my grandfather’s farm. My mothers side of the family was one of the first settlers in the area and can be traced back to the mid 1600′s. My father’s side is from NY but is related to President James Madison, the 4th POTUS and the father of the US Constitution.
I attended college at the University of North Carolina at Asheville where I studied Computer Science and got involved in the early stages of the public Internet. After college I moved to Washington, DC and worked for various ISP’s travelling the world building data centers in over 200 cities in over 35 countries.
In 1998, I moved to Annapolis, MD and that is where I met my wife Kristie.
In 2001 I made a slight career change from Engineering to Marketing and moved to California and lived there until late 2008 when we moved back to Maryland.
My Hobbies & Passions Include:
- Hiking, Camping and almost anything outdoors!
- Freemasonry, I joined the fraternity in 2004 and really enjoy all the positive aspects of the masonic craft!
- Traveling, Kristie and I enjoy travelling and especially in our RV or going on a cruise.
- Politics, I am actively involved in politics and was elected to the Santa Clara County Central Committee and appointed as a California Delegate 2006 and 2008.
